Given the rebuilding taking place in the Twin Cities, the soon-to-be 33-year-old Martin is available, but is making $7.085 million this year and $7.377 million the year after, which may limit potential suitors. Still, the Cavaliers can fit him within the Haywood exception and their depth at guard could always use another player.
Martin can play in either backcourt slot and continues to average double digits in scoring. Considering the Timberwolves likely aren’t that concerned about getting much in return, he might be someone the Cavaliers can zero in on.
