10 Reasons Why the Cleveland Cavaliers are Championship Favorites in 2015-16

6. Elite Teams in the Conference are Weaker

The Miami Heat made a huge splash this offseason with its additions of Justise Winslow, Amar’e Stoudemire and Gerald Green. However, the Heat didn’t even make the playoffs last season.

When it pertains to the Cavaliers’ competition from last season, they have all regressed or remained stagnant. The Chicago Bulls have kept the same core intact, with zero notable additions. The Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks all have lost key players while failing to find worthy replacements.

The Heat may pose the biggest threat to Cleveland’s supremacy in the East, but that doesn’t take away from the fact the conference’s elite teams from last season regressed this offseason.
