Bobby Portis says his home was invaded while he was gone for Cavs-Bucks game

While Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis was gone from his house on Saturday night to face the Cleveland Cavaliers at Fiserv Forum, his home was invaded, and many of his prized possessions were stolen.

He’s asking for help from anyone who may have tips or info on the burglary.

The Bucks just returned from a three-game road trip, with their matchup against the Cavaliers being their first home game since they got back. After one game at home, they’re already about to hit the road again for another matchup against the Cavs — this one in Cleveland.

It’s unfortunate that Portis’ brief time back in Milwaukee was marred by a home invasion, something that nobody should ever have to go through.

In Saturday’s game, Portis played well, but it wasn’t enough for the Bucks to beat the Cavs. Portis got 20 minutes of playing time off the bench, and he finished with 10 points (on 5-for-10 shooting) to go along with eight rebounds.

The Bucks nearly handed the Cavs their first loss of the season, but a late shot from star guard Donovan Mitchell saved the day for Cleveland.

The Cavs are now 7-0 while the Bucks are 1-5 and still looking for their first win since their season opener. Milwaukee will look to get some revenge against Cleveland when the two teams meet again on Monday.

Portis is now in his fifth season with the Bucks, where he has cemented himself as one of the top bench players in the league. In three of the last four completed seasons, he has received votes for the Sixth Man of the Year award, and his contributions helped Milwaukee win the 2021 NBA Finals.

So far this season, he is averaging 11.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. He’s hoping to help the Bucks turn their season around after a very rough start. Unfortunately, basketball can’t be the only thing on his mind after his home was invaded.

With any luck, the people who broke into his home will be found, allowing him to get as many of his belongings back as possible.
