Cleveland Cavaliers sophomore Collin Sexton wasn’t even alive to witness the greatness of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Therefore, the “The Last Dance” series on Jordan and the Bulls has been enlightening for numerous young fans like Sexton.

During a Twitter Q&A session on Monday, the guard shared what has impressed him most about the six-time champion.

“Some things that impress me watching Michael Jordan in ‘The Last Dance’ would probably be his killer mentality. How he was always locked into the game and how he always paid so much attention to details,” Sexton said. “At any given time, he could take the game over whether it was just scoring or his passing. He just had really good feel for the game and you can definitely see it just watching the highlights and just watching how much he was a superstar whether it was on the court or off the court.”

Sexton, 21, is one of the league’s hardest-working youngsters.

While Sexton never got to witness Jordan play at his acme with the Bulls, he certainly portrays some of the habits the superstar was known for.

As a matter of fact, Sexton is so engrossed in basketball that members of the Cavs organization have pushed him to find other interests. He is addicted to working hard and enhancing his basketball craft.

After the Rising Stars game in February, the University of Alabama product stayed back in the arena and worked on his game. Although most players would’ve gallivanted during the midseason hiatus, Sexton had other priorities.

Following the All-Star Break, the 6-foot-1 pro was playing some of the best basketball in the entire association. He was averaging 30.0 points, 4.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game in March before the coronavirus halted the season.

On the season, Sexton has been putting up 20.8 points per game. He only trails All-Stars Trae Young and Luka Doncic in scoring among second-year players this year.
