Cavs Rumors: 2 Trade Packages Philadelphia 76ers Could Offer for Kyle Korver

Last week, it was reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are very interested in trading for Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Kyle Korver, and now it appears that the initial packages they may be willing to offer have been revealed.

According to Chris Crouse of HoopsRumors.com, a deal including Mike Muscala and 2017 first-round draft pick Zhaire Smith could get a deal done.

“Philadelphia still has options, as a package of Mike Muscala and Zhaire Smith would financially work for a Korver trade,” he wrote. “With Muscala seeing meaningful minutes this year, it’s hard to see the Sixers including him or their promising 2018 first-rounder in a deal for the 37-year-old.”

While such a deal may seem unlikely at the moment, there is no telling how desperate for shooters the 76ers will become after trading away two of their best in Robert Covington and Dario Saric.

If a deal including Muscala and Smith proves too costly for the 76ers, they could also offer former first-overall draft pick Markelle Fultz.

“Swapping Markelle Fultz for Korver would also work financially, though the team’s front office appears to be taking a patient approach with the former No. 1 overall pick, which makes a Fultz trade unlikely at the moment,” Crouse wrote.

Regardless of how patient Philadelphia’s front office is, it stands to reason that the Cavs would not part ways with one of their best shooters for a youngster who has yet to prove that he can be a consistent playmaker in the NBA.

Ultimately, it seems likely that a deal may not get done until the dust from the Butler deal settles. While Korver could certainly be an asset for any team in win-now mode, he might be suiting up in Cleveland for a while longer.
