With nine games remaining in what’s been a tumultuous regular season for the Cleveland Cavaliers (44-29), the team is currently sporting a five-game winning streak that could potentially fuel the momentum for another long playoff run. LeBron James was asked after Sunday’s win in Brooklyn about how close the Cavaliers are to being prepared for what lies ahead.

“We still got a little time,” James said. “We just don’t have our full unit still, you know, we were out Kyle [Korver], still without Cedi [Osman] as well. Jeff Green‘s not here as well. Those guys are a big part of the puzzle as well. We just want to continue working our habits for these last games that we have.”

Korver continues to remain out indefinitely following the tragic death of his younger brother, while Osman is still rehabilitating an injured hip. Green will likely be the first of the trio return, having missed the Brooklyn game because of the flu.

James remains the central component in any playoff run, showing his leadership during the Sunday victory by scoring 37 points. He and the Cavaliers will face the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, with the Heat looking to move up from its current spot as the eighth seed when the playoffs begin next month. The Cavs are also looking to stop a frustrating 13-game losing streak in Miami that dates back to 2010.
