Cue the fireworks.
According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, superstar shooting guard Dwyane Wade has agreed to a one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 35-year-old future Hall of Famer is coming off of a Chicago Bulls campaign in which he averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 60 games played.
It has been rumored that the Cavs are willing to offer Wade the starting job over J.R. Smith; that and the influence of former teammate LeBron James likely had a lot to do with the signing.
The Cavs are expected to either waive a player or execute a low-level trade to make room for Wade.
