This pick is admittedly a long shot, considering the former Sacramento Kings guard’s likely contract demands. However, Afflalo would be an ideal fit for the Cavs due to his underrated offensive efficiency. Shooting 41.1 percent from three and 89.2 percent from the line last season, the guard would instantly improve on a Cavs bench that struggled to maintain leads when James went out of the game.
The Cavs would also get a quality defensive player in his physical prime. All of this said, his attitude has been in question at times, even last season. Though he’s calmed down since entering the league, there’s been a tendency for Afflalo to overestimate his value to a team. If he respects the hierarchy and understands his opportunity, he could be an absolute steal for the Cavs.
