Four Perimeter Players Cavs Should Target Instead of Jamal Crawford

2. Luc Mbah a Moute

The nine-year pro is a viable option on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Defensively, Mbah a Moute was so successful last season that he received one vote for the All-Defensive Team after ranking in 92nd percentile while defending in isolation, 79th percentile while defending post-ups, and 74th percentile while defending the pick and roll. That kind of defensive versatility, along with his 6-foot-8 frame, would make him the perfect player to defend Kevin Durant, a player the Cavs had no answer for in the 2017 Finals.

Offensively, Mbah a Moute also brings quite a bit to the table. While he only shot 110 3-pointers last season, he averaged 39.1 percent overall and 41.5 percent in catch-and-shoot threes. The sample size is small, but if the Cavs are willing to bet on the fact that Mbah a Moute’s three-point shooting percentage was not a fluke it could pay off in a big way.

Next: Gerald Henderson
