The addition of former Orlando Magic power forward Channing Frye at the trading deadline gives Cleveland another three-point threat.
In the Cavs’ second-round playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks, Frye helped his team take a commanding 3–0 series lead when he went off for 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including 7-of-9 from three-point range, in a Game 3 victory.
Believe it or not, the Cavs’ most efficient offense this postseason included starting small forward LeBron James and four reserves: Frye, point guard Matthew Dellavedova, small forward Richard Jefferson and shooting guard Iman Shumpert. That group is an eye-opening plus-59 in Cleveland’s 14 playoff games this year.
