It took all of two quarters in Game 5 to restore order after back-to-back losses at Toronto caused anxiety to begin creeping in. Leading the way, even more so than James or Irving, was Kevin Love, who never made it out of the first round last spring due to dislocating his left shoulder.
Love is shooting 44.6 percent from three-point range in the playoffs while averaging 17.3 points and 9.6 rebounds a game. Considering the Cavs shot only 29.3 percent from long distance in their six games against the Warriors without him, it’s easy to speculate on what might have been if he were healthy. But it would be more constructive to contemplate this winning formula: the Cavs are 6-0 this postseason when Love, James and Irving all score at least 20 points.
