Five Things a Championship Will Do for the City of Cleveland

3. A Better Image

The overall image of the city will become just a little bit glossier in the eyes of the national media. Instead of being tagged as the tortured place where a serial killer existed, three women were held hostage for a decade and controversial police shootings take place, victory celebrations shown on national television will be the order of the day. That’s positive public relations that can’t be bought, and might make some people outside the area a little more willing to see what all the excitement’s all about.
