Being in the conversation as the greatest of a generation means that contemporary accomplishments have to have been recognized by those voting on such things. James more than fits that category, with 11 trips to the All-Star Game, four Most Valuable Player (MVP) accolades, a pair of Finals MVPs and a pair of Olympic gold medals. James even came close to winning Finals MVP as part of a losing Cavs squad this past season.
