After trailing by 17 to start the fourth quarter, the Cavs roared back to win with some late heroics by James, who tallied 10 of his 41 points on the night in the period. Cleveland trailed 118-113 with 2:29 to play when James scored three baskets over the next 79 seconds, converting a three-point play on the last one to give the team a 120-118 advantage. He would then split a pair of free throws to account for the winning margin, also finishing with seven assists, four rebounds and a block.
No doubt some of these games will be supplanted with some of the 27 remaining regular season clashes as well as the added drama of the postseason. These performances are what the Cavaliers were hoping for when they re-signed James last July and they know their fortunes lie directly with him on the road ahead.
