Former Cleveland Cavaliers forward Isaiah Mobley, the brother of Cavs star Evan Mobley, has signed a deal with Manisa Basket in Turkey, the team announced.

Isaiah Mobley was drafted by Cleveland in the second round in 2022, creating a fun storyline as he joined forces with his brother on the same NBA team. The older brother spent his rookie season with the Cavs on a two-way deal, then he signed another two-way deal with the team for his sophomore season.

In his limited opportunities at the NBA level with the squad, his production was modest, as he averaged 2.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest across the two seasons (22 games). His per-36 averages were respectable across those 22 games, leveling out to 12.5 points and 6.9 rebounds.

He showed true potential in the G League during his Cavs tenure. He averaged 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game across 32 total G League appearances in his rookie season. As a sophomore, he remained productive at that level, averaging 18.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

After two seasons with the Cavs franchise, he spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers’ G League affiliate in the 2024-25 campaign and saw a tiny bit of action with the 76ers at the NBA level as well. Now, it appears he’s starting a new chapter of his basketball journey as he heads overseas and tries to continue making a career out of the game he loves.

His G League production, which remained respectable this past season with the 76ers’ affiliate, may indicate that he has what it takes to be a strong overseas player, and it also shouldn’t be forgotten that he was a key piece in college for the University of Southern California. He even earned all-conference honors in his final season with the school.

As he continues his career in Turkey, his younger brother will look to help the Cavs get over the championship hump this coming season after another playoff disappointment in 2025. Cleveland certainly has title expectations in the 2025-26 campaign, and the play of Evan Mobley is going to be one of the biggest keys to unlocking that goal.
