The Cleveland Cavaliers are slowly starting to resume basketball operations.

As a matter of fact, Cavs big man Larry Nance Jr. plans to work out at the team’s practice facility on Friday.

Nance, 27, was in the midst of a strong 2019-20 campaign.

The 6-foot-7 power forward is averaging a career-high 10.1 points on top of 7.3 boards and 2.2 assists per game this season. He has been one of the Cavs’ best players off the bench.

While the league starts to allow teams to open facilities for players, it is going to take a while for guys to get back into shape. After all, it’s been nearly two months since the league paused the 2019-20 regular season.

The NBA announced a suspension of all games on March 11 after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Unfortunately, Gobert wasn’t the only victim in the association to contract the virus. Numerous players, including Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell and Marcus Smart, tested positive as well.

As a result, fans should not expect the league to move rapidly to resume the season. In fact, the NBA is going to be extremely cautious as it begins to open things up.

The Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets are the only other teams that will permit individual workouts at their respective facilities on Friday.
