Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson is searching for ways to pass the time during the pause in NBA action due to the novel coronavirus.
While doing so, he came across a picture of himself and young Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Clearly, Thompson thought the two stars looked so good in the photo that he just couldn’t help but post it to social media.
Thompson has always been supportive of youngsters in the NBA, and he’s got a pretty big reason to be in Gilgeous-Alexander’s corner.
The two ballers both hail from the Canadian province of Ontario.
While Thompson has been an established star in the league for quite some time, Gilgeous-Alexander is still in the beginning of his journey to stardom.
He first gained notoriety as a rookie for the Los Angeles Clippers last season. Then, over the offseason, he was traded to the Thunder as part of the package that sent Paul George to L.A.
So far this season, the University of Kentucky product is averaging 19.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He is also getting the opportunity to learn from veteran teammate Chris Paul, arguably one of the best point guards of all time.
The future is surely bright for Gilgeous-Alexander.
Once the NBA starts back up after the spread of the novel illness is contained, he will surely look to finish out the season strong.
