Richard Jefferson Declares Kyrie Irving Has Best Handles of All Time

Throughout his NBA career, former Cleveland Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving has stunned and elated fans with his innate ability to handle the basketball.

In fact, former teammate Richard Jefferson recently took to social media to declare that Irving has the best handles in the history of the league.

Irving first entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. It wasn’t long before it became abundantly clear that he was going to be a star.

In his first three years, Irving continued to improve, despite the fact that the Cavs remained near the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference.

He was named to his first All-Star Game in his second season in the league. The following year, he was named the MVP of the All-Star Game.

Then, in the 2014 offseason, LeBron James announced that he would be returning to Cleveland. Thanks to the media’s increased focus in Cleveland, Irving’s stardom rose even higher.

All the while, he was proving that his handles and scoring ability were amongst the best in the league.

It was during the 2015-16 season that Richard Jefferson got his first look at Irving’s talent on a regular basis after he signed with the Cavs in the previous offseason.

At the end of the 2015-16 season, Irving played a pivotal role in helping the Cavs win their first NBA championship. In fact, an argument can be made that his late-game 3-pointer in the pivotal Game 7 of the series is the most impactful shot in franchise history.

While Irving would eventually demand a trade out of Cleveland, the majority of the fan base still looks back very fondly upon his time with the Cavs.
