Draymond Green Roasts Cleveland When Asked What’s Different About This Year’s Finals

Golden State Warriors star Draymon Green is certainly not loved in the city of Cleveland, and it seems the feeling is mutual.

Green has of course spent quite a bit of time in Cleveland, thanks to the fact that the previous four NBA Finals included the Cleveland Cavaliers.

When asked about the difference between this year’s NBA Finals and the previous four, Green couldn’t help but show his lack of class by trashing the city of Cleveland.

“I feel something different because I’m not in Cleveland,” he said to the media on Saturday. “It’s definitely something different. We’ll just start with not in Cleveland, definitely different.”

By Green’s tone, it’s quite clear that he thinks very little of the Land.

Perhaps Green simply doesn’t like what Cleveland has to offer as a city. It’s also possible that he was never able to get the taste out of his mouth of being suspended for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals following a cheap shot he committed in Game 4, which took place at Quicken Loans Arena.

That Game 5 suspension of course helped turned the tide of the series, and ultimately led to the Cavs’ improbable comeback in the title series.

Green will get the opportunity to enjoy Toronto for at least one more night, as Game 2 of the Finals takes place on Sunday. Considering the Toronto Raptor’s 1-0 series lead, it’s quite possible that Green won’t like Canada’s largest metropolis for much longer either.
