Stephen Curry Still Has Autographed LeBron James Jersey in His Bedroom

The NBA career of former Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James began six season before the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry entered the league.

Yet, prior to Curry’s arrival, the point guard was clearly in awe of James, with an autographed Cavaliers jersey in his boyhood bedroom offering clear evidence of that assessment.

The photos above were taken from the Facebook series, “Stephen vs. The Game,” with Curry’s father, Dell, offering a tour (at the 16-minute mark) of the bedroom. The younger Curry acquired the jersey during his collegiate days at Davidson College, when he and James established a friendship.

When James signed the jersey, he offered this tribute to Curry, dedicating it “to the best player in N.C.” That designation has since broadened its scope, with the guard having since won a pair of league MVP awards and been part of three NBA title teams with the Warriors.

Sadly for James, all three of those titles came against him during his second run with the Cavaliers, a period in which the Cavs and Warriors established a contentious rivalry. The lone time in which James got the better of Curry in the finals came in 2016, when the Cavaliers entered the history books by becoming the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the finals.
