Kyle Korver is thinking about hanging up his sneakers.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers guard just wrapped up his 16th NBA season and knows it’s almost time to say goodbye.

Korver, who was traded from the Cavs to the Utah Jazz during the season, spoke about his remaining time during Utah’s exit interviews.

“There’s a real cost as you get older,” the sharpshooter admitted. “There’s what you need to put into the game, but there’s also a family cost. That’s probably where I’m at is weighing that cost.”

Korver said the grind of the season and the postseason took it’s toll on him this year, and that he’s “tired right now.” Still, the 38-year old veteran has a lot of love for the game and would love to keep playing if it makes sense for him.

“If there’s juice left, I’d still love to do it,” Korver noted. “We’ll find out.”

Korver has one year left on his contract, but it’s only partially guaranteed. If the Jazz opt to keep him, he’ll be under contract for one more year, at $7.5 million.

However, if Utah cuts him before July 7 Korver will receive $3.4 million and become a free agent.

Korver spent parts of three years with the Cavs and helped the team make the NBA Finals in 2017 and 2018.
