It appears the trading of veterans has begun for the Cleveland Cavaliers, as it has been reported that Kyle Korver has been traded to the Utah Jazz.
In recent days, it was reported that the Cavs were looking to move a number of veterans currently on their roster. With Korver now gone, it would not be surprising to see a fire sale of sorts with fellow veterans like George Hill and J.R. Smith also reportedly on the block.
Korver will give the Jazz a veteran sharpshooter who is currently shooting 46.3 percent from beyond the arc.
As for the Cavs, they will receive a veteran guard in Alec Burks who is currently averaging 8.4 points per game. The true prize, however, likely lies in the two future draft picks. They will give the Cavs the ability to either add to their growing young core, or be packaged in a trade for another player or higher draft pick.
Korver was always a beloved member of the Cavs during his tenure in Cleveland. Hopefully, his time in Utah is met with similar success.
