The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently trailing the Indiana Pacers in their first-round playoff series and seeking to even things up in Game 2 on Wednesday night. During their Tuesday practice, they had some potentially positive news for that game after veteran guards George Hill and Kyle Korver both attended after having both been absent on Monday.
Hill left Sunday’s game with back stiffness, playing just 19 minutes after unexpectedly taking a hit to the back while being screened. In the closing weeks of the regular season, he also suffered a sprained ankle, but entered the postseason fully recovered from that issue.
Korver saw just four minutes of action on Sunday due to an undisclosed illness, but could be back on Wednesday night. The veteran has dealt with issues both on and off the court in the past month, due to the death of his younger brother and health concerns related to a foot injury.
It’s possible a final decision on the playing statuses of both players will be made following the team’s Wednesday morning shootaround, though that may also be delayed until just prior to the start of the contest.
