Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Schedule Released

The Cleveland Cavaliers finally know who they will be facing in the Eastern Conference Finals. The reigning world champions will be taking on the Boston Celtics after the Celtics overcame the Washington Wizards in a thrilling Game 7 on Monday night.

The two best teams in the Eastern Conference have made their way to a much anticipated showdown, and despite both teams getting there very differently, the series should be a fun and interesting one. The Cavs haven’t played for nine days whilst the Celtics will be forced into a short turnaround, as Game 1 will be on Wednesday night in Boston.

The full schedule was released shortly after the Celtics advanced.

It will be interesting to see how both teams come out for Game 1, as the Cavs will be battling rust whereas the Celtics will be up against trying to overcome the mental and physical exhaustion of their previous seven-game series.

The Cavs will have to adjust to not holding home-court advantage for the first time this postseason, as the Celtics held the No. 1 overall seed in the Eastern Conference after the regular season. It may be a good thing for the Wine and Gold however, as they can focus on splitting the first two games at the very least to gain home-court advantage before heading back to Cleveland.

Cavaliers superstar LeBron James already has a long history with the Celtics and TD Garden, and he’ll be looking to add another chapter to his ongoing story during the conference finals.

The last time the Cavs faced the Celtics was in Boston on April 6th where James and the Cavs dismantled the home team en route to a 114-91 win.

They’ll be looking for a similar outcome after Game 1, as they look maintain their status as the Eastern Conference’s top dog.
