After putting up 16 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ 125-109 win against the Denver Nuggets Saturday night, Cavs big man Kevin Love is currently experiencing soreness and effusion in his left knee.
The All-Star forward, who has already missed seven games this season, has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and will receive further treatment on his knee.
The extent of the injury to his knee is currently unknown, but it has reportedly put his participation in next Sunday’s All-Star game in jeopardy.
The former Minnesota star has been key to Cleveland’s success this season, putting up 20.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 43 percent from the field and 38 percent from three. Cleveland holds a 4-3 record in games without Love this season, including a 125-97 victory over the Timberwolves earlier this month in which Cavs sharpshooter Channing Frye started in his place.
