3. Will Mo Williams Play Major Minutes?

Some have said that Irving won’t return until January. Others have said that he’ll return “much earlier.”

Regardless, what we do know is that the 23-year-old point guard is returning from a very serious knee injury that ended his season following Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Enter into the equation former Cavaliers guard Mo Williams. The 32-year-old notched the only All-Star berth of his career in Cleveland while helping lead the team to a franchise-best 66-16 record during the 2008-09 season.

Despite his advanced age, he remains a potent scoring threat, averaging 17.2 points in a sixth man role with the Charlotte Hornets during the second half of last season.

Although he’s listed at just 6’1,” Williams possesses the ability to play both guard positions. With the Cavaliers hesitant to rush Irving back from his knee injury, it is likely the former All-Star plays major minutes during Irving’s recovery from said injury.

The question becomes, how many minutes will the 12-year guard play early on in the season?
