Winning a seven-game series requires four wins by a team, and to sweep a series is even more difficult. In James’ case, Cleveland’s sweep of Indiana made him a part of 10 teams that have accomplished that feat over the course of his 14 years in the NBA.
James had been tied with retired San Antonio forward Tim Duncan at nine, with two of Duncan’s former teammates, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, next closest at seven. The latter two could add to their total during this postseason, but it won’t occur during the Spurs’ first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies. That’s because that series is currently tied at two games apiece.
