5 Bold Predictions for Cleveland Cavaliers-Detroit Pistons Playoff Series

2. LeBron will record at least one triple-double.

Marcus Morris vs. LeBron James

Regular-season numbers are not always an accurate gauge of what will occur when the intensity is ratcheted up several notches. If so, people would be making a big deal out of the Pistons’ three wins over the Cavs, especially the one in Cleveland on Feb. 22 when James was an uncharacteristic 5-of-18 from the floor.

One set of numbers in which you can put stock in is what the four-time MVP did from March 21 on — averaging 28 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while shooting 63 percent overall and 52 percent from three-point range. Marcus Morris isn’t lacking in size or quickness, but having to guard James every other or every third night will take a toll on any defender.

Next: Kevin Love will have a major impact on the series.
