On Friday night, LeBron James broke the 40-point mark by notching 41 against the New Orleans Pelicans in a 119-114 loss. It came the night after he sat out due a sore knee, and marked the 53rd time during his Cleveland Cavaliers‘ career (and second time this season) that he reached that threshold.

Putting together an incredible fourth quarter and overtime, James torched the Memphis Grizzlies in a victorious 132-124 overtime shootout on January 15, 2008. LeBron made 18 of 28 shots to go along with nine assists and eight rebounds as the Cavaliers handed the Grizzlies their fifth straight loss. During the final quarter of regulation and the extra session, James poured in 25 points and also added four assists.
